I bought this dress to attend Up Helly Aa, a traditional fire festival inspired by the vikings that's a cornerstone of culture in Shetland, where my dad lives. There's an old norse legend about the three norns, who are three women who represent past, present, and future. They are often represented in jewellery as swans, so when I saw the swans on this dress I thought it was perfect! I bought this dress secondhand and it's so gorgeous, comfy, and unusual. I'm sad to see it go, but I'd love its story tocontinue with a new owner.
